Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.

Let them crackle and release aroma.

2️⃣ Sauté the Onion

Add chopped onions and cook until soft and slightly pink.

💡 Add a pinch of salt to speed up cooking.

3️⃣ Cook the Tomatoes

Add chopped tomatoes and a little salt.

Cover and cook until they soften.

Add a splash of water and cook on medium-low heat.

Let the mixture become pulpy and slightly thick, with oil separating at edges.

💡 Tips

  • Roast tomatoes slightly for a smoky dhaba-style flavor
