Almond Slivers – 150 gm
Castor sugar – 130 gm
Honey – 75 gm
Whipping Cream – 80 gm
Dark Chocolate – 150 gm
- Preheat the oven to 180°c for 10 minutes.
- In a pan, add castor sugar & whipping cream. On medium flame allow it to cook till the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Take the pan off the flame & add honey.
- Add the almond slices to a bowl & add the heated cream & sugar mixture to it. Put it in the freezer for atleast 30 minutes.
- On a baking tray put a silicone mat & with the help of a spoon add a small amount of almond mixture. Keep enough distance between 2 Florentines as it expands when it bakes.
- Flatten the mixture a little on the mat, with the help of wet fingers.
- Bake the florentines at 180°c for 12 mins.
- Cut them into circles with the help of a cookie cutter while they are still hot.
- After they cool down completely, remove them from the silicone mat.
- Melt dark chocolate & with the help of a butter knife spread chocolate on the back of each florentine.
- Keep it in the fridge for 10-15 min.
- Garnish with gold dust.
