Chocolate Cashew Barfi

Mawa – 225 gms
Castor sugar – 100 gms
Cashew powder – 250 gms
Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp
Cashew halves & Sliver Varakh for garnish

    1. Grind the cashew to a fine powder though making sure that it doesn’t turn into a paste.
    2. In a pan, add the mawa. Cook till the mawa starts to release ghee.
    3. Then add sugar & cook well. Then add the cashew powder. Keep cooking till it again releases ghee.
    4. Now remove half of the mixture & add cocoa powder to the rest of the mixture and cook it out.
    5. Spread the plain cashew & mawa mixture on a greased aluminum tray. Then add the cocoa powder mixture on top of the plain mixture.
    6. Cool in the refrigerator for about 10 mins.
    7. Remove & cut them into medium-sized square bites. Top with silver varakh & cashew slices.
