Fig Rolls

Multigrain bread slices -6
Figs – 4(medium size)
Sugar-2tbsp
Water-2tbsp
Butter-2tbsp
Walnuts 3-4
Melted dark chocolate for dipping the rolls
Melted white chocolate for decoration

  1. Roughly chop the figs & add them to a hot pan, along with sugar & water. Allow it to cook till it becomes pulpy.
  2. Now add the coarsely crushed walnuts, mix well & take it off the heat.
  3. Let the mixture cool.
  4. Take a bread slice, cut the edges off, apply a little water & flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
  5. Now add the figs mixture on one side of the bread slice & roll it to close the edges.
  6. In a hot pan add butter & oil & shallow fry the pockets till golden brown.
  7. Now melt some chocolate & dip one side of the roll (after letting it cool) in it. Allow it to set a little. Decorate with white chocolate & serve immediately.
