Oats- 250 gm
Baking soda-1/2 tsp
Raw sugar – 100 gm
Butter- 100 gm
Vanilla Essence- 1 tsp
Curd (optional)
Strawberry Jam to be added right in the end through a piping bag
- Preheat the oven to 165 degrees C
- In a bowl add oats flour. Add the baking soda to it, mix thoroughly and keep aside.
- In another larger mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar till pale and smooth. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
- Now add the oats flour in parts and mix just to combine. The dough should be slightly dry. (if you find the dough to be dry, add about 1-2 tbsp curd and mix it in. Don’t use the whisk now)
- Roll out the prepared dough (only if needed use the dry flour) Cut with a heart shaped cookie cutter and cut out small holes in half of them with the help of a the back of a nozzle.
- Place the one with the hole on top of the plain one.
- Bake first for 10 minutes and remove the tray. Then pipe the strawberry jam into the hole and place it back into the oven for another 2 minutes.
- Once done, take it out of the oven and place on a cooling rack. Allow the cookies to cool down completely.
