Total Time :

Cuisine : Desserts
Servings : 4

Water Chestnut flour (Singhade ka aata)- 1 cup
Salt- a pinch

Baking Powder- 1 tsp
Eggs – 2
Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
Milk- ½ cup

Melted butter – 1/3rd cup

Raw sugar – 2 tbsp

Accompaniments
Maple syrup
Fresh Strawberries whipped cream

  1. Preheat the waffle maker machine(also called iron)
  2. In a large mixing bowl whisk together flour, salt & baking powder.
  3. Then add the eggs, vanilla essence, melted butter, milk & raw sugar.
  4. Whisk well so all the ingredients are combined together & we get a smooth, lump-free batter. Basically this batter will be slightly thick and with time gets thicker. So you can use milk to adjust the consistency.
  5. Lightly Grease the waffle iron with butter.
  6. Pour enough waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron so it covers all the waffle grids evenly. Close the iron lid & let the waffles cook for 8-10 mins. When you open you lid, the waffles should golden brown and crisp.
  7. Once done, remove onto a cooling rack & allow them to cool completely.
  8. Cut the waffles in triangular cone shapes and place it on a serving platter. Pipe whipped cream on the upper side of the cone to make them look like an ice cream scoop. Top with sliced strawberries.
  9. Serve with more cream, strawberries & maple syrup by the side.
