Bajra flour – 1cup
Whole wheat flour – 1/4cup
Chilled & cubed Butter- 60 gms
Jaggery powder – 100 gms
Baking powder – 1/2tsp
Vanilla essence – 1tsp
Water- 1tbsp
For the Coating
White chocolate – 1cup
Colorful cake Sprinkles of choice
- Preheat the oven to 165°©.
- In a large bowl, add bajra flour, whole wheat flour & baking powder. Mix well. Add chilled butter and rub the mixture to get a crumbly texture.
- Add jaggery powder in water to dissolve the lumps & add to the dry ingredients, followed by vanilla essence & make a soft dough.
- Roll it thinly using some dry flour if necessary. Make star shapes cookies using a cookie cutter. (also make a hole on one side of the coolie using a nozzle) place it on a greased baking tray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 mins.
- Once done, place the tray on a cooling rack & allow the cookies to cool completely.
- For the decoration, melt the white chocolate with the help of a double boiler or microwave it at 30 seconds intervals to get a smooth & silky consistency.
- Dip the cookies till half way by & remove them on a parchment paper. Add some decorative & colorful sprinkles of choice & let it set completely.
- Now use a string/ribbon to tie the cookies so that they can be hanged on the Christmas tree.
