For the Strawberry Mixture
400 grams strawberries (Roughly Chopped)
Castor sugar – 1/4 the cup
Almonds ground/flour – 1/4 the cup
Vanilla extract- 2 tsp
For the Crumble:
All-purpose flour(maida) – 3/4th cup
Baking powder- 1 tsp
Butter (chilled)- 75 gms
Almonds(sliced)- 1/2 cup
Brown sugar- 75 gms “
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Place the strawberries in the serving dish.
- Sprinkle them with castor sugar, almond powder & vanilla extract. With the help of a fork just mix all the ingredients.
- Now for the crumble topping, take another bowl & add the flour & baking powder to it & mix well.
- Then cut the chilled butter into small pieces & rub it into the flour. Once done the mixture should look like bread crumbs.
- Now add the brown sugar into the flour & butter mixture, give it a good mix with a fork.
- Add half the sliced almonds & topple this entire crumble mixture over the strawberries.
- Finally distribute the remaining sliced almonds on top & bake in the preheated oven for about 30- 35 minutes.
- The crumble should look golden & crisp & the strawberry juice bubbling around.
- Remove when done and place it on a cooling rack.
- Serve warm with a drizzle of fresh cream!
