Ghee – 2 tbsp
Rawa/ Sooji – ½ cup
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves – a few
Chopped Onions -2 tbsp
Deseeded & finely chopped Green chillies – 1
Boiled & Chopped Carrots, beans -2 tbsp each
Green peas – 2 tbsp
Toasted Peanuts – 1 tbsp
Freshly grated coconut – 1 tbsp
Sugar – ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Freshly chopped coriander for garnish

  1. In a pan, dry roast the rawa, till it becomes fragrant & changes it’s color.
  2. Heat ghee in a separate deep pan, then add mustard seeds & allow it to crackle. Followed by curry leaves, a little bit of sugar, onions & saute till translucent.Add the choppe dgreen chillies.
  3. Now add carrots, beans & green peas & cook for a minute. Now add peanuts, coconut & season with salt & give everything a nice mix.
  4. Add the roasted rawa. Give everything a nice toss. Now add double the quantity of water to rawa. Stir it so that everything is well incorporated. Cover & cook for a few minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander. Serve hot.
